Hi. I'm a Linux newbie and would appreciate any help with this.
I've installed Ubuntu and need to connect to our wireless router. I need two things:
1) How can I tell if my wireless adapter is recognized by Ubuntu. Which app tells me what's installed on my system.
2) What information will I need to give my system (ie ssid, wep, etc)? And where do I enter this?
Thanks.

In case anyone else is looking for this there's a bar on the top right hand corner on the left date and time. Click there and enter the WEP. -

Last week I ran the 9.4 from a disk and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to setup.

Ubuntu is low hassle. The credit should go to the programmers.
